What is Emotional Intelligence?

Everyday we mostly do anything based on our emotions and emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence describes the ability to recognize and understand emotions in ourselves and others (give a perceive how we feel like our emotions and to identify the impact for us).

Why Emotional Intelligence is very important?

Emotional Intelligence is an ability to understand be it a workplace, campus, family or friends circle because the actions we create in our daily life are mostly based on our emotions and emotional intelligence. It makes sense that when individuals have a great sense of communication because they probably will be lead to having the ability to make proper decisions and interactions with others.

We can see right in the picture that emotional intelligence will help us to make a right decisions every momment. That’s why if we’re on anger we don’t have to make a decisions quickly.

IQ vs EQ

IQ or Intelligence Quotient is way to take into calculate the ability to think (intelligence ability) and EQ or Emotional Quotient a.k.a emotional intelligence, this two things really have a big impact personally and socially. Cited from Inc, EQ have a more impact especially in a workplace because people who have a high EQ also have the ability to control emotions, accept criticism, empathy, curiosity, and others that can support performance in the office. So, IQ is no longer considered the sole determining factor in people’s progress.

Several Tips

We should be wise and smart when taking a decisions especially for students. They got stressed up by exams and homeworks. Just take it easy, accept it and work for it. If you have already finished it great! but if you haven’t finished it yet, not problem! take it easy, slowly but sure. We should pay attention for managing our stress because it’s have a big impact for our mental health. Don’t forget to take a break, have fun, relax, meditation, eat healthy, exercise regularly and take vitamins.
